This bug has taken a lot of time of me for the past few months and I am to say that at last I figured it out. Now you can ride the mech without any problem...hopefully.

Wouldn't recommend it in its current state at least. So far the game feels like a bunch of unrelated VRChat worlds, some are more interactive than others, but without the benefit of user-created content. The existing worlds are pretty shallow and don't hold your attention for long once you see the premise. From a technical point, it's also not great: No pause menu, you have to close and restart the game every time...
