As I read the "mixed" reviews, I was skeptical and a little undecisive as far as getting this game, but then, as I was reviewing not just the official release notes but also the ones of beta release, it was obviously apparent that the developer was still very active in making this game better and has been releasing new versions ever month or so. Great game, and when combined with OpenCPN it becomes fantastic. Thanks to this, we can practice real navigation. Awesome! I hope that one day a truly simulation-style mode will appear, with onboard equipment (that can be swapped out / repaired), resource management (water, desalination system, food, electricity), and fishing :D

all the boats cost money each and the whole way of buying them feels weird and scammy it doesnt seem like theres much mod support especially for a unity game too

The idea behind the game is great - global yacht sim, kinda virtual world, with real time data. But realization is very bad. First of all there are no tutorial, control is wierd, not intuitive. You need to spend hours to watch videos online. If I compare this game with another, very popular simulator, I can conclude that another simulator have better interface, easier controls, and there you can really learn sailing,...
