I think this game is a great idea that is nearly impossible to create in a non-frustrating way. Reading other reviews, I think all the praise is accurate and all the criticisms are accurate. It's a little dim, interactions are a little clunky. I think if you get excited by a hard sudoku and didn't particularly embrace learning a foreign language, this game is likely to delight you. I am a linguist, and this is easily the best language game I've played. I can't express how fun it was to theory craft, think about "well if that's true, how could I find evidence of it?", build little hypotheses and test them, and gradually build up a scaffolded picture of how this language works. I would joyfully play one of these, every year, forever.
