Game going away
2025-09-18I made this game over a decade ago in a desperate attempt to get something made quickly because my dad was divorcing my mother and he made it clear I would be needing to survive on my own (I was 18 or 19 and living in an apartment across the country for school when he called out of the blue and told me this over the phone), so I spent months holed-up in my apartment working on games in the Unreal engine. That was a mistake (see below) In the end it was a bad game. I tried some new things with it, it was experimental, but that's no excuse. It had some pretty bad bugs that made it difficult to even play let alone finish. For instance, there was an intro section before the main menu. Most users thought the intro was the entire experience and quit right there and left a bad review without even realizing that was just an intro level. I learned a few things from that time I made this:

• Don't release without completely blind playtests (that aren't friends) • Fix all bugs that annoy the player. Just because there are ways around them doesn't mean they're ok for release. • Don't post your game to your school group, and especially don't be sarcastic/punk about your game when making posts about it. Punk bands get away with the attitude because it's part of the mood of their music. That mood isn't in the game itself so it just comes across as unprofessional. • Don't use the Unreal Engine as an indie. You can disagree with me on this, but from my thorough, repeated, in-depth experience, especially back then, It's unwieldy, bloated and infested with nightcrawlers. Not worth the time. With that said, I'm asking Steam to take this game down. Remove it from the store. Please.
