Nocturne is a simple and splendid throwback in the vein of Shovel Knight with a BIG sword! It's at once a highly immersive experience pitting the hero against the elemental foes oif the world. After the initial tutorial sequence the character gets to choose from an open world layout of metroidvania style exploration. Going any direction can reward or punish the player. Nocturne of Steel is a game that throws you back to old times, but with new gameplay twists and a feel unlike any other game I've played. The Giant sword is a plus and I feel like a monster swinging that thing around, like my very own 8bit Cloud. Play it.
