There are a few minor things that hold me back from recommending this game, ultimately. The game UI is entirely a single-click interface, which is common for games designed for mobile devices, but it keeps the player from seeing vital information with mouse-overs or easily closing menus. A very simple cute little casual Stellaris here!
I really like this game and it's very easy to do a fast play through if you don't have much time.
Also the graphics are very pretty, although I think that could be very personal.
The gameplay is straightforward and easy to learn. The game has a tutorial who will let you learn the ropes of it.

The lack of tooltips (it's seriously easy to build something and then have no idea what it does) and the dull, repetitive gameplay takes away from what should have been a quick, distracting light strategy game.
The RNG can also really screw you over. The planet, enemy and tech tree all seem (semi)randomized, which means you can get blocked by big enemies, with no access to any firepower since it's so far up the tech...
