There's something undeniably charming about watching these Lovecraftian monsters beat each other up like they're characters in a comic book. In terms of story and world design the game is still pretty basic, but the battles themselves can get pretty intense if you don't know what you're doing. I'd definitely recommend playing Breath of Death VII first to get a feel for the combat mechanics before diving into this...

Cthulhu Saves the World is an improvement on the Breath of Death VII formula in every aspect, we have updated graphics, better maps world map and towns with the option to fly on the world map and interact in a better way with the townfolk, the dungeons are also better with branching paths, possibility to go under above and even interact with the environment. Much like it's predecessor, it's a great game in a small package. It's a bit bigger and sillier than last time and is just as fun. The lightning-quick combat is intact and improved with the insanity system. Very much worth it's incredibly low asking price.

After finishing the game here's my review. This game you play as Cthulhu as the title says you go out to safe the world. This game is very similar to the game Breath of Death VII where you kill monsters and so on. Not going to go in depth in to this game since you have to play it yourself so I don't spoil what happens in the end. Bought this game way back when Totalbiscuit(Rest in Peace) did his series of 'WTF is' when this showed up. Loved it when I played it back then with the interesting humor and dialogue. However attempting to play this game was an absolute annoyance as the character sprite moved too fast to get into one block entry ways, NPCs or even the towns themselves.
