I hate to say a Yakuza game is bad but this is awful. The story sucks and every boss battle turns into an annoying dodge fest. Yakuza 3 Remastered’s blocking issue isn’t nearly as bad as this.

This game made me hate women. What a mess of a plot. Bad storytelling, bad fight sequences without consequences. Coming from 7, 8, PIH, kiwami 1 and 2, and the new 3, this was the worst one so far. Highly recommend using a turbo controller and playing on easy, else you'll burn your love for this franchise to the ground.

still a great game but my god the combat sucks due to basically every attack knocking you to the ground and every enemy constantly grabbing you from across the arena the second you manage to get on your feet leading to times where you just have to sit and watch your ass get beat and you not being able to do a damn thing about it im so sad i couldnt kill arai i hated that guy but overall still a enjoyable beat...

Yakuza 4 is a hard sell I will say. It's obtuse in many places, the combat encounters can be frustrating at times (looking at you Tanimura), but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is this story fantastic. From the moment I started the game it had me invested. The new characters are all extremely likable and really fun to follow through the time I spent with them. After letting my thoughts fester and dumped about 150 hours into Yakuza 5, this game really needs an optimization patch. Yakuza 3 Remastered had some issues and was resolved with community solutions and even a Kiwami Remake. Yakuza 5 Remastered performs much better than this game and I barely had any performance issues with that game. For some god forsaken reason, this game needs to be locked down at 30 FPS or...
