I had heard this game was really good, and was aware of the memes about it, but I hadn't played it until very recently. Now that I finally have, I can say without hesitation that it's one of the most enjoyable Resident Evil games I've ever played (and I finished all of them except for 'Zero', 'Revelations: 2', and 'Requiem'). Play this game and the DLC on hardcore mode for your first playthrough to get the best experience :D I played this game blind without any guides and it was a significantly fun experience compared to RE7’s game loop. The pacing, gameplay, enemies, and overall variety made it a much more enjoyable experience for me, and going in completely blind made it even better. 10 superglued wrists out of 10 Highly recommend playing on Hardcore even for the first run. Endure the beginning despite being very challenging but I promise that's the most complicated part of the whole game. HDR + RTX + SFX gives a hell ton of atmosphere in the nights and dark places where you are running with the flashlight only.

I spent 27 hours playing this game on hardest difficulty, I got molested on every turn, I died more than a 100 times, it took me 2 weeks, I cried, I wanted to quit, I quit, I came back, just to finish it and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ die... I didn't even get infinite ammo... 10/10 would not recommend playing on VOS <3

Piece of ♥♥♥♥ company. I completed and I got the 100%, now, years later I discovered that my achievement was unchecked because they added a new paid-dlc that I have to buy and complete in other to obtain it again. Are you ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ serious?

Enjoying the atmosphere in my first 20 minutes of gameplay but I'm going to have to play it in short chunks. Why? Because the default FOV is causing motion sickness And there's no FOV slider in the settings And Capcom threatened legal action on people who made a mod to fix this problem
