Genuinely the greatest action game of all time. I love the soulsborne series, but in terms of combat and mechanical depth Nioh 2 is stands tall above all other souls-like games. If you want a more convoluted, difficult, anime as heck, steep learning curve, masochistic souls-like game with optional full 2player co-op functionality, this is the game for you. I definitely had fun with this game, but I heavily disliked the grinding and the loot system, so I'm giving it a thumbs down. Not sure if I'll ever play again in the future.

I played this game back when I pirated it, then eventually bought it and played through it thoroughly again.
