A stealth masterpiece that still shines (thanks to the community)

Splinter Cell is a great stealth game with awful shooting. Its primary game mechanic is hiding in the dark, and the main way the player makes the environment dark is to shoot out the lights, but Sam Fisher aims and shoots like both his arms are made of pasta noodles. Time has not treated Splinter Cell kindly, nor has Ubisoft. It's depressing, lighting is a large part of this games core system, and all complex lighting systems (unbaked lighting basically) is nonfunctional now. That's a BIG deal in a stealth game. I just finished a playthrough on hard and got about half way into the game before I fully realized just how broken the games lighting system really was.
