I just could not get into this from the start. It lacks all the charm of the original, and immediately felt disjointed and slow. I'm very bummed as a long time fan of the series.

It really hurts to write this seeing that somehow a new Drawn To Life games comes out after what seemed to be the end of the series for more than a decade. I feel mixed but positive about the game. I kept my expectations in check since it was announced and never expected anything closely similar to the DS games, coming from a decade-long hiatus; as I've said before, that's a fairly unreasonable expectation. Something about giving this game a negative review isn't sitting with me right. The game has a lot of flaws, and it's clear that there were a lot of issues with bringing the IP back without a stylus and touch screen. I don't want to be at all partially responsible for less people buying the game and potentially causing the IP to take another decade long slumber. drawn to life is my favourite series ever. i've replayed the first two games COUNTLESS times and i'm still blown away by them every time, but this game completely missed the mark. the novelty of a new drawn to life game wore off after about 10 minutes, by which time i realised that the core gameplay was less interesting than watching paint dry. disappointed. brb gonna go replay TNC.
