Don't let silly animations and asinine writing fool you into a mistake of rushing this unofficial Ultima Underworld 3 like I did. This game is magical, you just need to let its cave mold seep in through the screen, hear the wind groan in the megavents and feel the weight of rock over your head. Also, it has a priest going by the name of Fallan Orbiplanax, which would assuredly be my nom de guerre had I aspired to...

This game was super hard to get into as it's just super convoluted but its one of the most atmospheric games I've played and worth the struggle to get through. Endgame difficulty spike was mental for melee playstyle and nearly softlocked the game a few times due to lack of magic ability. Arx Libertatis mod is REQUIRED to get to work but only takes like 3 mins to set up.

Love this game - one of the few games that brings you back again, and theres something about the underground city aesthetic.

Its a good game. Its a graphics adventure/RPG game with 3D graphiics. Its a bit tricky to get into. Make sure to generate a good character otherwise the game will be really tricky...

Good game but lacks balance between different playstyles. Magic/casting outclasses Fighter and Stealth so hard and some spells (Fireball) are really overpowered with low mana cost. Would not recommend playing without occasionally consulting a walkthrough as some parts of the game (the Crypt) are really confusing without in-game instructions.

Amazing dungeon crawler with a great vibe. Has a fun setting and characters and a pretty interesting systems like having to cast spells by drawing runes.

(Download Arx Libertatis) This game has a steep learning curve, mostly because modern games give you 20 separate inventory screens. I wish games were as interactive with diegetic menus as this one, for better or for worse.

It can be a struggle to get running on new hardware, but it is totally worth the effort. I am sad we didn't get to see more of this underground world. The premise itself is pretty amazing - what with the sun 'dying'
