Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Just wanted to say that Update v1.04 is now live! First of all, I want to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your continued support. Your feedback, suggestions, bug reports, and kind words mean a lot to me and genuinely help shape the game. While I occasionally miss a message or reply, please understand that I’m a solo developer handling everything myself. Sometimes things slip through the cracks, but I want you to know that I truly appreciate all the support and engagement from this amazing community! I'm currently working hard on announcing my next game while continuing to support and update my existing titles when possible. With that said, I'm excited to share the latest update for The Backrooms 1998, which includes several improvements and new features! Update v1.04 Includes:

• Fixed multiple bugs and improved overall stability. • Improved controller support across both menus and gameplay. • Fixed various typos and localization/language issues. • Enhanced enemy navigation and AI movement behavior. • Updated environmental textures for improved visual quality. • Added new settings options to the menu. • Added new sound effects and audio improvements. • Added a Black & White Camera Mode for a more atmospheric experience. This is a really good horror game, but this is not a good "Backrooms" game. I don't think the developers understood what made the Backrooms so good as a concept. I feel like this game could be its own thing, and do pretty well - but they just made the walls yellow and added buzzing lights, slapped a Backrooms sticker on it, all to market to the masses. Me and my friend bought this because it says on the Steam Page it's co-op. The game is in fact, not co-op. It also says the game does not support controller yet it forced me to use a controller, all the while giving me instructions through kb&m.

I bought this game to play together with a friend, since the game categories say co-op, however it is not co-op. I was really disappointed, but can't refund it anymore (bought in a bundle and too long ago).
