Excellent game with an incredibly unique style, a fascinating setting, and satisfying gameplay. I have been glued to my seat the entire time. Can hardly ask for more than that. Try the demo if you're not sure, then, if you like it, buy the game. Completely worth it.

This game explores its concept quite well. While I wouldn't really say its a metroidvania for how linear it is, it is certainly a wonderful experience to crawl through the metal plague. Much of the world feels very alive, and all around is rarely dull. Some of the locations are a good test to see if you are stupid like me and incapable of finding the right way to go, but I still managed to find one of the 2 hidden...

Pretty fun and interesting mechanics. I will say, the flashlight is so dim that I feel like I'm basically just navigating by touching the walls. Maybe that's intentional, so if so then I'd say it worked well, but it does get a bit tiring after a while.

If you know what Tetsuo The Iron Man is, and that phase elicits interest instead of revulsion, you'll love this game. If you've ever wanted to see some more variety in the Metroidvania genre, you will ALSO love this game. If you love gritty frenetic melee combat, you will DEFINITELY love this game. I have never played metroidvanias as they are mostly 2d and I prefer first-person games. So this is my first and it rocks. Map design and exploration are like the best I've tried in years, sucks me in and I honestly can't stop playing it. This is another one of those cases where I really wish Steam had a "Neutral" review option. It's an interesting game with a truly unique art style and atmosphere, but the combat just feels horrible. A very solid action adventure game with first person melee brawling and great art direction. Voltage High Society pays homage to Tetsuo: The Iron Man and Electric Dragon 80.000V, but in terms of gameplay it reminded a good deal of Zeno Clash 2, so if you like any of these things, this game is a blast! I'm a little over an hour in and the atmosphere interconnectedness and general gameplay is great!
