I’m not a Doom fanboy but Doom 3 impressed me a bit except the fact that third part was completely overhated and underrated part when for most gamers it’s having not much of interest in particularly but they would rather prefer an epic bloody gameplay and hard music into new ones in compare to first,second and scary third part. Surely for its age it’s still worth to play and those who liked this it'd be like a minus...

If you want the "Authentic" experience that ID released, play the 04 version. You can hate the game, but don't hate the movie.

The BFG Edition has all the Doom 3 content in a nicely wrapped package with achievements as well. However, the introduction of the suit mounted flashlight changes the core gameplay by introducing a constant light source. Having a constant lighting source leads to more action oriented gameplay while the the choice of having either a light source or a weapon in your hands but not both leads to more horror oriented...

It's been a dark part of the series for a long time, but it's gorgeous, with an amazing soundtrack, well-crafted levels, eye-popping monsters and a lot of weapons. A worthy continuation of the great game, respect to the developers.

It was so boring that I felt like falling asleep. Even half the fights can be done without thinking much. And honestly, I didn't even find it scary. The atmosphere and graphics are nice, but the gameplay feels too slow, repetitive, and scripted for me.

Certified cult classic that has been unfairly compared to the other entries in the series. This is not a fast paced run and gun kind of experience that has you fighting fifty enemies at once. For Doom 3 and the two expansions, this is quite fun and a grand walk down memory lane. As for Doom 1 and 2, you're better off buying the much newer "Doom 1+2" which offers more doom 1 and 2 than this package does.
