Pretty good route, bought it on the 2014 winter sale and have enjoyed operating this awesome route.What I like about the route is that it's bright and colourful, it has a descent amount of scenarios to keep your occupied, the horn on the cab car is amazing, it is a good representation of the shoreline in California. As someone who is very familiar to the Pacific Surfliner route, since I railfan on it quite often. This DLC is a really good adaptation of the route and its equipment. However the route is quite outdated compared to how it is in real life right now. But I won’t get into the details with what’s wrong and right, since the DLC was released in 2013. Great game. Can you update San Diego Route? Because in real life this route now has more stations. And can you add San Diego trolleys? The trolleys are Siemens u2, Siemens sd100, Siemens s700, and Siemens s70.

Really fun route to drive, great for relaxing views and with the change of pace from busy LA to the middle of nowhere then back to busy city life San Diego. Highly recommend this as it feels like a steal how cheap it is.

I want my money back. I spent 20 dollars on a route that doesn't even load half the time, and crashes my game the other half of the time. I don't expect much from games and their DLC, the bare minimum is for them to work, yet this DLC somehow fails this simple, critical requirement! HOW?! I have a decent gaming laptop that can handle most performance-heavy games and their DLC, but how it can't handle a decade-old...

This is one of the most underrated DLC for Train Simulator, the route has great variety with city-scapes, suburbs, countryside and beaches. The career mode is also really good with different weather and being set at different times of the day and they separate the full LA to San Diego trip in three parts. I strongly recommend this especially on a sale.

Eh, a prime example of "meh." Around 60 percent of the time, the route works alright. The rest of the time.... you guessed it. The ever famous "Out of Memory" error that DTG refuses to do anything about. Surprise. If you can live with gambling whether the route will load every time, then it is an alright route. Nothing wildly spectacular: typical, relatively flat, quick-ish commuter route with some freight operations...

Although it is an older route, it is excellently done. Above-average sounds for default RSC/DTG stock, and the scenery is fairly well recreated. Not perfect by any means, but gets the overall feel of the route correct. My all-time favorite route for this game.

Definately one of the nicer routes available in Train Simulator. The Surfliner offers fast commuter running in the middle of some of the most populated cities in the US. From the concrete jungle of downtown Los Angeles, to the countryside and beach running, this route also has a variety of sights to see while running. This is quite good, even though there is no freight, it is still cool, the Amtrak F59 and cars are just like real life, and getting the FULL line is just nice.
