I was not able to get into this game, even though the trailer gave me a distinct nostalic feeling. I believe that the choppy controls is what took me out of the gaming experience the most, as it was really hard to control the character. I'm not sure if that's how the original played as well, but it kept me from enjoying this game.

So I ran into the bug other people talk about - you get into the falling platform scene, and the controls won't work- you fall all the way to the bottom and die. But then, the scene restarts showing Dirk escaping....then the next scene is the falling platform, and the controls won't work. It loops until you run out of lives. It's 2026... could someone please patch this?

I told my mom about walten files episode 3 and she told me to play this game. I'm not really sure what the correlation is but the animation here is bangin

Great classic that I would recommend picking up if you wished you could beat the arcade cabinet. If you are a fellow achievement hunter, beware that this games achievements are extremely hard to achieve as you have to work around some frustrating bugs for a chance to have them unlock.

This game is a museum piece and I couldn't be more glad that it's widely available, that's the only reason that I'm giving the thumbs up sadly. There are so many problems with this game, I can't change the aspect ratio it would be great to have the 100% original footage, there are no video and audio options that I could find and the volume is too high at all times, I'm not sure if this is a thing for this re-release...

The updated graphics alone are worth the purchase of this legendary game from the 1980's. Some of the timings of certain moves seem slightly off to me. But my biggest complaint is you can't turn off the move counter at the bottom center of the screen, It takes up a lot of room and imo, is kind of unsightly. I wish there was an option to completely turn it off, so you don't see it at all. Other than these few...
