I remember first playing Sudeki when I got it free in a CD-Rom from a German games magazine. I didn't remember much about the game aside from the name, so when I saw it on Steam two decades later, I was excited to see if my nostalgia would hold true. After all, I remember the game being interesting, with somewhat unique combat and weird characters. Well, the game certainly is weird, but sadly my nostalgia was wrong....

Bought it because I saw it was from 2004 AND had a cover that was all cheeked up. This game feels really unique for the time. Like it reminds me of a souls game in how heavy based the combat feels. Shield and roll are the default button because lmao screw you. It also has early freeflow combat where you can create unique combos based on timing. A game i wish got the time and treatment it deserved! i still love this game but its dev was ruined by micro$oft and poor marketing the end result is still a must play hidden (uncut) gem BUT a must play for fans of old, stylized and mechanically odd yet simple RPGs. 12/10

It is such an amazing classic, it incorporates different types of gameplay and it does it super well, great story too, truly feels like i underpaid, incredible, i am a completionist and it took 20 hours and i still went a few more times into combat just because it was that much fun

It's a good enough game. Not brilliant, but ok. The story works, the ending is a letdown tho. The pacing is a bit off, one character gets their ultimate armor very early on, while another gets it right before the end boss where that character doesn't participate. I'd say it's mediocre. Worth it at that price now, but if I bought it for full price back in the day I'd feel a bit miffled. There's nothing in it that...
