CompareThe White Laboratory is a sandbox style physics-based tower defense and RTS game in which you modularly build and command robotic structures. Use them to defend against or conquer other disobedient mechanical blocks on a facility floating in the atmosphere of a remote gas planet.

Too short with no multiplayer or modding support to add anything to it, not worth the money even if on sale. (either a multiplayer versus or just ANY steam workshop support would REALLY add a LOT to the game)

A lovely take on tower defence, the idea of dissembling enemies to build more towers is fantastic. I adore tower defence games but this just doesn’t hold up because of a few bizarre choices. However: My main gripe with this game. - The “crazy” physics are just absolutely awful. It feels really out of place in this crisp, polished game. Everything is sleek, calculated, and then you have your tower erratically...

Honestly thought this would be just a 'meh' gimmick game, but it's WAY MORE then I expected! Build and manage flying machines, multiple defence lines, create your own unique turrets... and so much more! It actually really feels like an RTS too because you have to manage/ move around towers around, and grab new pieces from fallen enemies, and quickly figure out the best ways to defend against different...

Game's pretty fun, physics are a bit wonky but okay. My real problem with the game is the camera control, typical top down view for TD but there's no way to change the camera angle from up and down, limiting your build options. The building system is also wack, you can only connect pieces linearly, meaning that everything has to be an offshoot of something else. This is okay until you try building larger constructs,...

In this game, you build defense towers from blocks that you've salvaged from the enemies, which subsequently allows you to build more powerful towers to deal with the more dangerous enemies. Not only this, but you must also balance all the game's mechanics as you progress. Too much of one, and you must sacrifice something else. REVIEW: Graphics: Artwork Amazing Good Meh Not good Bad Gameplay: Far too...

The White Laboratory strikes a unique point between RTS strategy game and Tower Defense game. Both sides of the game seemlessly merge into one, allowing players to essentially design and construct their own towers for defense, or vehicles for offense. Neither are reduntant, both towers and vehicles will be neccasary to play the game. The actual strategy of the game is both interesting and simple. Fast gun = more...

Really great concept, love the idea of making turrets out of the pieces of slain foes. Too bad its executed horribly and the there is no visible readout so I can understand things such as "Lasers do next to no damage even if four of them are shooting the same target" or "putting things on a rotating axis not only makes them shoot faster BUT it also makes them miss the target by a minimum of 179 degrees" this game...

Seems fun at first, until it breaks, which it will. Eventually you will have too many parts for the game to function properly. Instead of mass moving parts, hitting alt instead of ctrl will act as a softlock pause. Limited viewing angles make moving lower things impossible. Joints are made of rubberbands, and parts noclip into each other and the terrain. The main thing really impacted by physics, is how badly the...

This is game is it's own thing even in it's own category, if you're into any kind of strategy/tower defense game, I can guarantee you will love this game. It's packed with a lot of fun mechanics and modes and also very good replayability value, so it's totally worth it. I actually made a first impressions review if you want to check out what i'm talking about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jJ8J-wDGD0o

The wobbly physics make it difficult to quickly build anything useful and some of the early missions feel hopeless as the enemy whittles away your hard earned blocks, and eventually you are left with nothing. I may revisit it again but 6 hours of trying to like this game because the concept sounded and looked so good. I just can't get into it. Also the controls are very counter-intuitive. Right click to de-select...
