I've played this game on and off since 2003 and its always been enjoyable. Based on the Half Life engine, it works on most machines and has always been challenging and fun. There are countless rooms in which one can play, depending on their skill level.

Honestly the game itself has a very interesting and unique look that sets it apart from every other CS game, but unfortunately to play with any actual real people, youre gonna have to look for communities or discord servers because the entire server list in the game is full of the same ♥♥♥♥ russian servers filled with bots.

• if to compare this to other main CS games, this is the best balance between 1.6 and GO (or CS2) • good for casuals and easy to play • good for achievement hunting or grinding • gameplay stats that you can keep or reset back to zero • good optimization for low end pc (still playable on ultra potato pc just need to tweak some configs) • fun to play with bots and their interaction to the map environment and voice...

Great game! Other than being flooded with fake russian servers, siphon through and you shall find something worthwhile. Honorable mentions are Texas Arlington Bots, Illegal Adaptive Bots & Midnight Gamers (Dallas & Chicago)

Loving the game, some of the physics not really -when jumping and shooting, so you have to usually not move while shooting, or crouch meanwhile. It's really worth it. Some guns have better accuracy than others: M4A1, AWP, also AK47 deals insane damage for ranged one-taps, and P90 is also one of my favorites and the dual guns.

zombie escape is fun in this game, also this game should be FREE knowing that VALVe itself already extremely rich and doesn't need more profit from this old game

If we were to compare this game directly to CS1.6 and CS:GO right before CS:2, I would have to say this is easily the worst counter-strike game in the series. Textures are clear and crisp, and lighting effects have aged quite well, but maps are hilariously poorly lit and way too dark, the torch has visual bugs on a few maps and makes it harder to see than easier (double doors on aztec). The game runs excellently and...
