Update v2.2 rev 10535 on Sept 19, 2018: Here is a quick overview of the changes in this update: Over 400 fixes and improvements in this update! Good update for its time. But I would play the newer 2020 version of Myst if your going to play one.

Puzzles are almost perfect, each area had a cool and interesting atmosphere to it, and the story was interesting. 90-93%

As someone who has heard time and time again that Myst is one of the greatest puzzle games of all time, I am very disappointed in it. I was not alive when this game came out so I don't have the benefit of nostalgia on my side so I have to compare it to today's standards. and today this game is very lackluster. Some puzzles are somewhat interesting (mechanical age solution, and all of the lighthouse area) but besides...

Great game that is beautifully modernized. It's a great puzzle game with different endings. Walking around the islands in real time completely changes the atmosphere, especially the weather and lighting dynamics. It's well optimized and should run with almost anything. The only real downside is that interacting can feel quite clunky, and a few sound-based puzzles are a bit hard to get.

Not played since the 90's but it still reigns supreme. Who needs beasts and shooting! Give your brain a treat and get lost in this fantastic world

Every bit as good as I remember and every bit as confusing as I remember. Myst is a classic that every gamer should play at least once. I have to warn you, if you've never played it before and you were born after 1993 then there is a very strong chance that you're going to hate this game.
