Camtasia Steam - Retirement Announcement

2017-05-18

Starting today, Camtasia will no longer be available for purchase on Steam. Current subscribers will be allowed to finish out their billing period, however, your subscription will no longer be available for renewal after June 1, 2017. No additional action is required by you. After June 1, you will no longer be charged a subscription fee. Please complete any video projects you may be working on before June 1 to avoid losing your work. We appreciate our Steam customers and thank you for your support. However, as we continue to create new and more feature-rich versions of Camtasia, the Steam platform no longer fits with our current and future distribution strategies. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and again thank you for using Camtasia.

I purchased the monthly subscription yet they don't let me render my videos without the watermark. I am genuinely shocked. I payed money to use a demo.

i really dislike that i had previously bought this software and now im inable to use it because for whatever reason my License expired? ive used this software for all my videos and now i cant use it at all without having to buy it again

I love the software its easy to use cheap and for a beginner in recording its exactly what i needed. But has more options than some of the other beginner softwares

You really should be offering licenses for the current version to current subscribers who've had a continuous subscription for (x) months. I know my monthly payments would have paid for a full version and then some, so it feels like a real kick in the nuts to receive this notice. Getting this notice and reading what amounts to a shrug and a "get your ♥♥♥♥ and get out". Once I get my hundreds of hours of content...
