Blood (1997) has a memorable atmosphere and incredibly satisfying weapons. The strange and spooky language spoken by the cultists is unforgettable and is apparently a derivative mixture of Latin, French and Sanskrit. Blood might just be the best Build engine game developed in the 90s. "I'm here to donate some blood. Someone else's..."

Compared to Fresh Supply, which is just a remastered version, OUWB contains the original version of Blood and its expansions for it. It's a decent FPS with some well designed maps. The difficulty can be absolutely brutal if you aren't careful enough due to hitscanners, otherwise it's a recommended boomer shooter.

Some people enjoyed Duke Nukem 3D, some people were crazy about Doom, some other spent their time in Quake. I played Blood and stabbed my enemies with a Pitchfork. I ate their bleeding hearts to replenish health. I visited Dark Carnival and enjoyed every bloody attraction. I kicked Zombie's decapitated heads,'cause it's fun. And I rised from the grave. 10/10 would dig myself out again.

Blood is a masterpiece of a game. But this is just a lazy DOSBOX emulation. Not to even mention the fact that Atari has the source code and they are just to lazy to release it and allow the community to make proper ports. The game's soundtrack is also bugged and will not even play certain tracks. Controls are annoying to set up. The game also runs sluggish on modern sytems. Such a classic must play from 90s! Though, as of December 2018, both Steam and GOG releases are just DOSBox ports which clearly didn't age well.
