Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure

Played this for the first time at the ripe old age of 29 and was really captivated by it, decided to go for 100% just to play it more. If you played this game as a kid and were in the trenches telling people it's an underrated hidden gem I just wanna say you're so valid for that. Fun game with a lot of soul and a banging soundtrack.

Incredibly fun, cute, and rare moe game. A game made to give you the nostalgia and melancholy of childhood imagination, feelings I dearly treasured and miss. If you too wish to connect with your lost, younger self and experience what gaming was all about, I can’t recommend this game enough. The option to patch JP VA into the game is available through a guide in the guide tab, so do yourself the favour.

One of the cutest and sweetest games I have ever played. A bit clumsy controls and camera sometimes act against your own intention but you can get used to it after few hours of playing. 5/10. To look at this game you might think that you were seeing some kind of Ocarina of Time experience, from a similar era. And indeed, there's a lot of things that feel slightly like that except that the game plays very much on rails. Levels are very linear and there's no real sense of exploration. It's a port of a PSP game with a decent alternative for mouse + keyboard controls. They could've done traditional WASD controls for the movement of the character, but having your most important actions on the mouse to free up your left hand more I think was thoughtful.
