Ng+ that actually changes, bonfire ascetics, best fashion souls, best PvP, Animation canceling, Power stancing, most diversity in genuinely viable builds, most interesting magic system, no spam rolling so tactical gameplay is rewarded. The great outweighs anything bad by miles

One of the last of the Slow Souls games, it was ambitious in its mechanics. Some went on to become Fromsoft staples, some were rightfully dropped. Others, like the aesthetic mechanic, were sadly unused again despite their popularity. A flawed gem, once you know the quirks and how to sidestep them, there is a lot to love. But I'd lie if it didn't take me several playthroughs to really learn to love the game. ...

I fell off so many cliffs, 100/10. I had a great experience with this game thanks to the community that is involved with it and it easily has become my favorite out of the series. #WWFD

Id enjoy more being burnt alive while my balls are cut off. The adp stat kicks my ass and i hate myself. The only time I open this game is when im at my lowest. I hate this game.

I love/loathe this game so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much. I don't care. Lore, music, and just. . . LOTS ... it's better than people say. It's DEFINITELY the MOST enraging out of ALL of the Fromsoftware games at times if you ask me, but it's also one of the most eerily haunting.

The best atmosphere out of any souls game. DS1 perfects the grime, DS3 perfects a somber pallette. Dark Souls 2 has everything. Vibrant landscapes, deep locations, claustrophobic coves and caverns, wide open buildings and sprawling level designs. The bosses are extremely well designed, and each feels like a brand new experience. Apart from you, Smelter Demon. Sod off Smelter Demon.

I don't really understand why people consider this the "black sheep" of the series. All of the things that make this game harder (like more gank squads, harsher enemy tracking, etc.) are balanced out with things that make the game easier (more healing items, easier fast travel, etc.) For me, DS2 is just as good as DS1. Both have strengths and weakness that make them good in their own way. I also highly recommend...

I finished this game for the first time about a week ago. Already midway through my second playthrough. This is generally considered the black sheep of the original three Dark Souls games, but I think in the end it's a great one. Tying dodge roll iframes to a stat was probably the worst design decision in the game. You level ADP until your agility hits around 91-93-95 (I think that's the scaling cutoff), and after...

While it's my least favorite Dark Souls game mechanically and gameplay wise, it does have interesting places to explore and so many different visuals that still make the experience worthwhile. Also, now we have seamless co-op by Yui 😊
