A really fun and addictive little game. It's short, but you spend the whole time running around, smashing zombies and having fun. Simple gameplay, fast action and no unnecessary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Definitely worth playing if you want something quick and entertaining

Never really played many side scrollers before this many may not like it due to the fact it shares no similarities to the mainline franchise. It was .99 cents harmless fun........ except the marathon achievement ( I had to get gud)

Its an okay game. I think it was more of a bonus to the definitive edition when it came out, as its a short game. HOWEVER if you are looking to 100 percent the game (Achievements) its harder than it looks. Game can feel very boring and slow as it gets repetitive fast. Dead Island Retro Revenge is not from the original Dead Island Developers. BUT it can be fun, at least if you enjoy Retro-Style-Games. The concept is the same like in old 16-bit Retro games, you walk / run through the levels, kill zombies, collect power ups and farming points while switching the three lines, upper, middle and bottom. OK, so this game wasn't what I was expecting. When I saw the trailer and screenshots, I assumed this to be something like the old-school CPS1 beat-em-ups I used to play in arcades when I was a teenager, like Final Fight, Alien Vs. Predator, Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, etc. Hell, even the attract screens are similar, what with the "Winners Don't Use Drugs" and all (followed by brawling through streets lined with headshops...
