Had a Total War veteran and former friend of mine endlessly beg me to do multiple Total War games (Rome II, Attila, Empire) and this was the only one that I actually stuck with. I also kicked his egotistical French-using arse with the Mamluks in the Egypt campaign battle, so there might be a tiny hint of intense dopamine-fueled bias in my positive rating.

oog says Napoleon Total War, it is one hell of a game historical Battles, Campaigns of Italy, Egypt, and Europe it presented me what it is to be a general and a hero of an army and country. I learnt that a second can decide a battle a minute can decide a War and an hour can decide the outcome of a Nation. If you like history it is historically accurate. There are many maps to fight in single player or multiplayer. You can also play napoleons battles like Austerlitz or Waterloo. There is also a campaign option which you can choose difficulty just like the battle mode. Recommended to people who have no games to play and get interested fast.

It is very nice and a classic of the genre , historically accurate , uniforms and unite compositions and abilities are the best thing in the game

After playing the early Total War games extensively, TW:Napoleon is a wonderful development. Yes, it should have included a much larger world map, but the gameplay is rewarding and the period has largely been ignored by other developers.

Total War Napoleon is 15+ years old and it's still the gold standard for Napoleonic combat and tactics simulation. What else needs to be said at that point.
