The Westport Independent is a censorship simulator taking place in a post-war country, governed by the recently elected Loyalist Party. As the editor of one of the last independent newspapers in the country, your job is to remove and edit the content of your paper, affecting the people’s opinion of both the rebels and the Loyalist...
The game has a few bugs such as misplaced dialogues and letters (for example, I got two letters from frank saying that he was sick and that he was going to support a strike)
But other than those bugs, I believe this is a good concept executed fairly well. What I would recommend is that we get more than two options for the title of the newspapers.

This game, while short, is very well made.
It takes inspiration from Papers, Please! but make a good job at showing that its gameplay is different.
I liked the storytelling aspect through the employees' talks and i wished it was longer then 12 weeks.

You manage a newspaper caught...

To balance these needs, you can edit...

Nice game with a strong theme and vibe.

The Westport Independent is a narrative-driven simulation game developed and published by Double Zero One Zero that explores censorship, media influence, and political pressure through a deceptively simple premise. Set in a fictional nation on the verge of losing its democratic freedoms, the game places players in charge of one of the last independent newspapers still operating under an increasingly authoritarian...
