The game genuinely gets in your head once you really get into it. When you play singleplayer at night and you hear running coming your way, you only have a split-second to find out if it's the Rake, or just a wild boar. The Rake is one of those “classic for its time” kind of games. Back then it actually hit, simple setup, creepy vibe, hunting something in the dark with barely anything to defend yourself. So my friends and I bought this game as a joke. We expected dank memes and silly "scares". What we got instead was a salvagable good survival horror game.
