This game is like a trip down the memory lane. If I played the game back in the day I would've given it a positive review but sadly it aged like milk. Ignoring the cringe dialogues, none of the achievements work and neither do most of the features and game modes. It's a shame because the gameplay is quite fun.

Shooting Stars is colorful, but repetitive and a bit of a bore. It's insultingly easy until almost half an hour into a run; even then, every boss save every fifth has only one attack - almost all of which are defeated by doing circles around them to redirect the fire. Every fifth boss is Chuck Norris, who has three attacks and two life bars just in case being guaranteeed to see him every five minutes wasn't enough....

Shooting Stars is a somewhat amusing meme shoot 'em up that was better once upon a time. This is an "arena" shooter, no scrolling, with enemies arriving from the top. Think Space Invaders. If you like vertical shootem ups... not bad for under a buck and has trading cards so that gets you what? A dime on the steam market? Not bad at all. Not that great either though but if you got steam wallet change to burn through... this will do the trick.

Decent memegame, if you enjoy shoot-em-ups. This is a first impression review. I let a friend play this because I'm unable to play this due to a handicap. Judging by the box-cover, I thought this was a very bad game. It's actually not bad, although the pun names of the bosses made me smirk (eg Nuck Chorris) the first times I saw them.
