A bunch of quests want you to spend several thousands each, one HOG scene nets under a hundred. The combo system could salvage it if it actually gave you sizeable amounts which it doesn't. Horrible ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grind.

Short version: Unless you REALLY like playing hidden object games, and you don't mind either spending money or lots of time waiting doing literally nothing, I cannot really recommend this game. It's one of those free-to-wait hidden object games where you replay a handful of scenes over and over and get randomly rewarded items for quests, and playing scenes costs energy which refills on a timer. To call this game terrible is really an insult to all the horrible, useless, terrible, asinine games on steam. One of the few games I wish I Steam would let me give a lower score to. Not only do you have to BUY this game, (which I admittedly did in a package deal) they don't let you play the damn thing. The game is very similar to the f2p game "Lost Lands". At LL you get the archievements not so fast but beside that i didn't see much difference. Mystic Saga is a HOG with energy consumption for playing/solve a hidden object scene (location). The Steam Community will like this 'free to play' Hidden Object game far better then the last one (Lost Lands: A Hidden Object Adventure), for one, the achievements are far easier to get and are in sync with the area leveling. This can become a pretty fun game if you are a patient sort of person. This is a free game, so there is a pay system set up to help you play longer sessions and to aid you should you get stuck, but you never actually have to pay to fully enjoy the whole game. A game where you fulfill quests by solving hidden object scenes with a stupid energy bar that refills over time making you wonder if you are playing a mobile game instead. You are way better off playing a standard hidden object game.

Mystic Saga is a Hidden Object puzzle game, the type you normally see on mobile app stores or even as browser apps. Mystic Saga reminds me a lot Lost Lands: A Hidden Object Adventure. Given the fact that it's Five-BN publishing, it's not a surprise.
