CompareZenith is an action RPG coated in humor. Adventuring! Exploring ruins! Saving the world! You know the drill. A single player game with an actual story. No oneiric or do-it-yourself crap. You won't need to piece the story together by yourself as if it was a swedish chair. We promise.

The combat is so painfully clunky that you will feel as if it is you, the player, who is taking damage. In your brain.

Controls are so clunky and absolutely unavailable with some buttons. Shuddering screen every time I move. No way to remap the buttons and I'm unable to play this.

A fun little game that has plenty of rough edges starting from a somewhat clunky combat system to a total lack of an options menu, but the story is interesting enough to make you push forward. The story and the characters are the main reasons for you to play this game. Some of the jokes actually made me laugh out loud which is a rare thing for games these days... actually scratch that, most of the jokes made me...

I will start with the bad: The graphics are terrible. The animations are buggy. The music is repetitive and feels as if it was a public sample. The combat is hideous and the particles are all broken. The inventory system is simply annoying. The good: It's short enough that all that's bad about the game doesn't matter that much, it stops before it becomes too unbearable. The story is more serious and...

I really wanted to like this game but, with a broken heart, must give it a pass. There is a lot of squandered potential here, and the word of the day is "clunky." Combat feels awkward and bland. The main character feels "heavy" to control, the animations don't feel like they land right, and the range of attacks isn't clear. Getting swarmed by more than 3 enemies is frustrating. Interface, likewise, is extremely...

tldr: I'm deaf, bored, frustrated, and annoyed. Lots of small problems add up to make the game unwelcoming. I'm not going to force myself to keep playing in hopes it gets better. This game looks like it might be funny, and I generally like the genre, but there are just so many design flaws that I can't get past to really get into the game. I'll preface this by pointing out that I haven't gotten past the first level...

A weird example of a game that does everything wrong and is still great. It's super short, teases a sequel that will never see the light of day, has a terrible UI and mediocre combat and none of that matters. The characters are personable and well developed, the writing is funny as hell (if extremely meta), and you care about what's going on.

the developers clearly never played their own game, otherwise they'd have realized that audio settings would be absolutely necessary. it's basic functionality anyway, but in this case music is so deafeningly loud you can't hear the sound effects and there aren't even toggles for them, let alone separate volume sliders. sure, you can turn down system volume or the speakers, but those will get rid of effects too. at...

The writing is interesting, but the lack of a music slider (the in-game volume is loud enough to cause ear bleeds) is annoying. The...bizarre...controller 'support' is beyond description. It's blatantly designed to need one, and every review says you need one, but it's impossible to really map it out properly. The developers have taken a very agressive 'no we aren't doing anything' stance too. And the community is...
