Imitation is the highest form of compliment. Well that's a good thing because this game is Theme Hospital with a new skin. This game is close to being a really good game but man it's has some huge misses that makes it outright unplayable. For those how want a quick breakdown of the game, think theme hospital in a bar. Theme Hospital in fantasy tavern setting? Sounds too good to be true. Initially it looks ok, but after hour or two you will notice the game is shallow - limited selection of rooms, furniture, staff and guest. Very boring research (just watching loading bar). Single player stages feel the same - after 3-4 stage you don't feel the need to continue at all. Might be worth to pick up on sale, but not for normal price.

Tavern tycoon has a basic formula. Spend money on amenities and staff to raise your reputation with the locals. Sounds simple? Nah not really. The main thing holding this back is the randomness of what the people want. You have 20,000 to start with? Build some tables, a kitchen, and a bar. This game is almost exactly the same as "Theme Hospital" which is one of the best games ever and almost 20 years old. Even the room design, number of staff, inspector and the rats are from TH. However, it has not got the same amazing sense of humour (at least not at the time of writing). Also, there are still a lot of unfinished detail (including a pause button).
