Bonsai

I like the concept of growing a tree and pruning it and whatnot, I just don't have the patience and the time to click the way this game wants you to. There are games that are actually entertaining and worth the money, this is just not one of them. So no, do not recommend except for maybe a bunch of cards and a +1 for your library.

Bonsai is a pointless clicker game (I know, that's redundant) masquerading as a tree simulator. Time can be used wasted in place of some clicking, but lots of clicking is still required. 3/10 Bonsai is a casual game where you prune trees that're definitely not bonsai for hours. Although Bonsai is mildly relaxing it doesn't provide a good example of actual bonsai and falls short due to not having a save option, having to be left running all the time, and few options. "Pruning down trees without philosophy" Bonsai is a simple tree growing and pruning branches simulator. Like Viridi it's also a longtime investing idle game with not many options. As a professional Bush and Tree tender, I feel as though this game meets, and easily exceeds, the expectations for a realistic gardening simulation. I dont understand the “hate” this small indie title has gotten. I bought this years ago, I have played it multiple times now and never did I feel disappointed or misled in any way.
