Blueprint Tycoon

This game is a perfect illustration of the need to playtest early, often, thoroughly, and with fresh batches of new people. Ithas some really interesting ideas, but the interface keeps getting in my way. After an hour of playing through the tutorial and, after that, 3-4 attempts at *actually* figuring out the system by playing through the first level, my reaction was "man, I really hope this is an early access game"....

What a precious little game this is! At first glance the graphics are very minimalistic and when you first start the game up you might think this a negative. I think it's a rather well thought through design decision. As the game progresses past the setup of your first few buildings the screen quickly gets filled with information, but the simplicity of the graphics design makes it easy to keep track of it all....

An enjoyable management sim. Fairly easy at the start, but can get complicated with large chain reactions. You can also really get deep by customizing exactly how each building deals with its own input/processing/output - though that is not exactly required. I love the concept of the game, but I'm not a big fan of the execution. It mostly comes down to me hoping it'd be more like Factorio and less personnel management. • The blueprints, one of the main focuses on the game, don't matter much in my experience. I probably didn't optimize it to 100%, but you also don't need to. By default you'll already produce way more than you can transport with any given production...

I'll recommend this game once bugs that make it pretty much unplayable in the late-game are fixed. Because this could be an awesome game. But once you get large enough, the game literally starts falling apart. UI menus stop showing correct information or stop working all together. Upgraded workers start to reset themselves. It's a nightmare and really prevents me from giving a positive review.

It's not very expensive, and it's definitely worth a few dollars, but I'm pretty mixed on it, overall. I'm right on the cusp between 'positive' and 'negative' on this one.
