We never get Hotline Miami 3, but we have this banger of indie development as a spiritual successor. In a form of completely different gameplay and new unrelated story, I've got everything I liked about HM - fast paced risky combat, surreal vibe and the same satisfaction.

Man, what a game... It's a masterpiece. If you're yearning for a 2D, fast-paced, brutal, trial-and-error game similar to Hotline Miami, then this is it. Stunning art, insanely satisfying gameplay and an intriguing but unfinished narrative so well integrated into the gameplay that it's rare to see it done this well. 9/10 gameplay if you ignore the slo-mo juice. Also one of the best hard modes I've played - the base game feels like a tutorial to prepare you for the hard mode. I still listen to the OST on the way to work too. The story doesn't have much to it but maybe it's building to something. Katana Zero is one of the best games i've ever played, if not the best. The gameplay, the story. I cant truly encapsulate it in a steam review, so all im going to say is go play it.

its a great game tbh worth every penny but if u want to get all the achievement ur going to hate it its like going through hell trust me but still fun tho 8/10

Great, fast-paced action game reminiscent of the likes of Hotline Miami. Think a side-scrolling version of that, with a a katana, and you're not too far off. You will die a lot, but it never feels unfair and you get straight back into the action, so the gameplay loop remains engaging. As a bonus, perfect for the Steam Deck.
