I have over 200 hours on FOF 7 and almost 100 on FOF 8; I can safetly recommend this series to anyone that has wanted to manage everything about their favorite football team without having to play the games. Look man, I don't doubt that a ton of careful work went into this, but there needs to be more disclosure about the variables that impact simulation results. I feel like this game outsmarts itself. I feel that the simulation variables have such complex relationships, that the results just end up being random anyway. This game is for a specific type of person. A guy like me that as a young kid would play Madden franchise mode and simulate through the whole season because managing the team, re-signing, finding players in free agency, and drafting were the best parts of the game. This game has a steep learning curve -- hard to get at first, but once you do, its nearly impossible to set aside. "One more turn" turns into "one more season" in no time at all. Front Office Football can be addicting, but its maddening that they haven't included some simple realistic points. There is no practice squad and NPC teams NEVER ask for trades with you or hold their own players out to trade. Other than those points, if you are interested in building a roster through the draft, free agency, and working under the salary cap, its a very good simulation.

I live in the UK , I watch NBC Pro Football Talk. I can relate nearly every topic concerning the NFL which is discussed on that show to this game. That's how good this simulation is. You don't always need fancy graphics to produce a great gaming experience. Very Highly Recommended
