I have finished this entire story twice now, both via a friend's library before I decided to purchase all of Pixelfade's games before they retired. This is my favorite visual novel of all time. It has amazing art, great characters, fantastic voice acting and even character animations. Crystalline was one of the few games I've ever played which really, truly captivated me. Amazing game, I bought it on sale for 10$. I did not wait for the sale, I just happened to get lucky and discover it due to the sale. Though 20$ may seem overpriced it's very much worth it. The grammar and sentences are clean and the characters are FULLY voiced out. Even secondary characters and characters which may appear even only once in the visual novel. Crystalline...I was so excited for this game 2 years ago when it first had the kickstarter. And English voiced VN with animated characters!? Sign me up! It seemed promising too, because their last title was great! But all that changed around episode 2's release. I played ACE Academy and laughed myself silly. I downloaded the demo for Crystalline and experienced similarly side-splitting sensations. But of course the problem with any demo, even a generous one such as has been provided in this instance, is that the story remains incomplete. This is without a doubt the best experience I've ever had reading a VN. I'm not even sure where to start with describing just how insanely good this VN is.
