Oddly, I was expecting another bad but mildly enjoyable cheaply made foreign RPG. You know, the ones who have horrible English writing and play more like a pornographic game off of a porn site over being an enjoyable game and I am quite pleased to try this one. Obviously this is a hentai game. But the story part is also deeper and better than your average RPG game. There were multiple endings and even secret ending that would extend into 1-2 entire story Arc. Even if you are not into Hentai game but just a JRPG fan, do check it out.

I tried. I really tried to finish the game, but I'm going to shelve it indefinitely. Why? Worst translated game I've ever played. And I have had my share of poorly translated games, but this was super lazy. To make matters worse, the text doesn't fit in the boxes and you can't read the whole item description. ELISE THE DEVIL {ETD} is a JRPG involving Elise's, the Female Protagonist, adventure questing through multiple maps, occasional dungeons, and turn-based Battle modes. At the time of this review, ETD is on sale for a mere $0.59 US { a 70% discount }. The game play is decent in a typical JRPG / RPG Maker style. The Female characters are Voice-Acted in Japanese ... Nobody wants to hear the guys anyway...

The translation isn't as bad as you think and the game play makes up for it. Just think of this game as a FF game but with 18+ fan service. This game also made my right arm noticeably bigger due to playing this game one handed, a good workout if you ask me.

This game is a 5/10 at best. The translation is absolute nonsense... random Chinese characters in the MENU, descriptions for items that scroll off the page, words that are CONSTANTLY cut in half and dropped to the next line, and just bad grammar over all. This game was quite affordable for the content provided. I didn't have to grind like mad unlike similar titles and the choices felt rewarding. There were some translation errors like embrace being swapped for "hug" damaging the proper intent and the word and "comfortable" being used instead of pleasurable making for quirky text.
