29 years ago I played this classic for the first time. Every story beat and every puzzle solution is permanently etched into my brain meat. Primordial memories. So I've decided I'll be playing this game every 10 years to test for Alzheimer's. When the Monkey Island memories start to go, I'll know the end is nigh.

Ron Gilbert did great work with the first two games, but they weren't as good as this one because his priorities were always about remaining as a spoof parody game writer. As biased as I may be because I played all the games when I was young, this game still managed to truly balance the act of ridiculous and the serious, it feels a more immersive and fun experience than the first two games, and Gilbert's return to...

It's one of the most famous point-and-click adventure games of all times; full of humor and puts you in a good mood. A classic, by all means!

MI is one of the best in adventure games, and for me this episode is the 2nd best in the MI series. My best is the MI2: LeChuck's Revenge

(Finished outside Steam) My personal fav among all the Monkey Island games. Fantastic in its day and aged like fine wine in all regards. Must play for point & click fans.

Loved it in the nineties, and it's still fun now! But you absolutely have to look up hints. It would be impossible without them.

My favorite Monkey Island game in the series. All are great, and would love to see a remaster or some kind of refresh one day for this one too. The art style, writing, music, story are all fanastic! :)

As a kid I played the pirated version, which had a really cool DRM that prevents you from completing a puzzle. I was frustrated for decades because of that. Finally, I went past that puzzle and I feel so much more fulfilled.
