Being in the Gray Dawn universe is a very captivating immersive experience. Having loads of religious art and motifs in a Balkanic countryside really feels right and adds to the magic of the game. Personally I found the story pretty well written and it was nicely connected to the puzzles you need to solve.

The game has moments where it shines: some of the demonic manifestations and horror bits (few as they were) and some interesting story/character moments - but there are far too many more tedious chapters, terrible voice acting, absolutely nonsensical puzzles, a terribly convoluted story that honestly doesn't make a whole lot of sense, and an utter lack of scares means I can't in good faith recommend this one to...

Beautiful game, if you like religous themes and very cool looking graphics art and a story be sure to try this game. The puzzles are easy and the exploration is very beautiful to say the least. I enjoyed the experience.
