As a long-time Assassin's Creed fan, I know this game's story leaves a lot to be desired. This is the best AC in the franchise in my opinion, it doesn't get much better than this. If you want to jump into Assassin's Creed for the first time absolutely buy this over Shadows as that game is a terrible representation of the AC series.

Assassin's Creed® Origins had in my opinion a better story, environment and gameplay experience but Odyssey is almost as good and still a fun entry in the franchise. it gets pretty repetative fast, but works good as gaming junk food if you don't know what to play but just want to relax and kill time.

The enemies are absolute damage sponges. You can hit the same enemy over and over and it feels like you're fighting their health bar rather than the actual enemy. Combat gets repetitive really quickly because almost every fight turns into a long grind. The story is pretty meh, and honestly, this doesn't feel much like an Assassin’s Creed game. VERY grindy. However if you are a big mythology nerd like myself, and love the scenery and playing games at a more leisurely pace, this is for you. Immersion is very well done! I just wish there was less "filler" and more actual storyline. I enjoy the combat finishers a lot, and the stealth in this game is actually quite fun! I absolutely loved Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The open world is massive and beautiful, the graphics still hold up incredibly well, and there’s so much to enjoy — from the variety of weapons and combat styles to the different modes, exploration, and action.
