The game is quite simple, and not exactly impressive, but at least the core features actually work. The AI is simple, and there isn't a lot of pathfinding needed, but it's shocking at how often other games screw these two things up. The pathfinding and AI in Fantasy Battles are both adequate. Nothing really to write home about. It's a simple strategy games, this looks like something that might as well be a browser game. It can be best compared to Totally Accurate battle simulator. You place units for a certain credit on the battlefield during a freeze, you unfreeze, battle starts. Main issue with the game is balance, take a quick look at the stats of the units and you already see the obvious composition...

You simply drop units onto a map and then watch them mash together into two incoherent blobs until one side is dead. Repeat 36 times. No strategy involved whatsoever. Rough and uninteresting. Sorry but you do not get a pass just because your game is free.

Not worth playing. The game works fine, and there are just a few bugs regarding pathfinding. But it has no interest, very few units and every mission plays the same. It is not spectacular or demanding in any way. I do congrat the devs for making this, it is well programmed.

It is fun for a while before growing bored with the mindless rushing, stabbing and shooting. Still, a nice free game to spend like 30 minutes on!

If you want to feel the satisfaction of completing all the achievements of a game, this is the one for 3 reasons: - The whole campaign lasts an hour and a half if you don't get bored before. - You can finish the game with the same formation in all levels. - Achievements consist only of finishing levels and using the troops you unlock. Great game! I love the design of the enemies and the terrain. a good strategy game easy to pick up It's actually free, and actually a game. There are worse games that charge money.
