spins you around 360 degrees left right front center like a 2-set yellow puyo that im about to place for a sandwich chain except i set it up wrong and you're going to get stuck in purgatory as you watch the rest of the puyo pieces pile up on top of you with no way of salvaging the chain. i lose

Probably not. This was built for eSports anyways and largely fell flat on that bet, mostly because of how it was handled by SEGA. Due to this, it was largely left abandoned as a side game for a spinoff franchise (Puyo Puyo) to a mostly forgotten original series (Madou Monogatari). Even when it was new, I wasn't getting bites years ago for random matches and I'm sure it's not much better half a decade or more...

I'm a huge fan of Puyo Puyo. I knew what I was getting into buying this game (I mostly bought it to see the unique characters and officially play the Fever ruleset on PC with friends), but I'm still not fully satisfied with the options available. I wish I could give a mixed review. - This is a bare-bones Puyo game, trimmed down to the gameplay and nothing else. If you're looking for that, great! If you want to...

The Japanese name better describes what this game is really for. "Puyo Puyo eSports" I do get there's virtually no eSports scene in the West so it didn't really fit but it would have helped to be more transparent about it to people as they're wondering why there's not much online play.
