this is a really jank little indie game.. and its VERY indy, it looks like it was made by two 14 year old boys in mom's basement. that said, its just a simple level-based platformer and it plays its part well. its got a nice assortment of simple enemy types and a couple subweapons with useful secondary effects, plenty of levels to keep you busy for a couple hours, and an appropriately terrible story to fit the...

Gameplay is a nice little retro game, but controller support is a joke. Original mapping is really unintuitive and remapping them is just straight up bugged and doesn't work. Rest of the menu is also clunky, I have no idea how you can mess up a menu so bad that it's just plain frustrating.

I owned "Ghoul Boy" possibly since it came out. But it took me almost ten years to finally play it. And it was just the right moment, because I looked for a retro platformer that is challenging, but finishable. I found it with "Ghoul Boy". + smooth gameplay that makes jumping and fighting a pleasure + mostly beatable jumping and fighting sequences with some peaks you shouldn't give up at + great aesthetics that...
